Kinwell, a new provider option for LifeWise members, offering primary and behavioral health care through clinics in Washington, recently announced the appointment of Dr. Mia Wise as President for Kinwell Medical Group. Kinwell Medical Group employs providers and is responsible for clinical decisions, continuing to further Kinwell’s mission of creating a market-leading healthcare experience for LifeWise members.
Kinwell recently announced the opening of three new clinics: Bellingham, Redmond, and Federal Way, bringing the total number of clinics serving LifeWise members to 17. Kinwell serves about 700 patients a week, with a net promoter score (NPS) of 83. The healthcare industry averages an NPS between 35-40. Kinwell has ample room for growth and in collaboration with all of us at LifeWise, can make a difference in the lives of our members, and within Washington communities needing high-quality, affordable primary care.
With 26 days as the average wait time for a new patient to get an appointment with a provider, Kinwell cuts down on this wait time for members to often less than 24 hours. (According to a recent study highlighted by AMN/Merritt Hawkins.)
“At Kinwell, our mission is to provide accessible healthcare to all patients. To do that, we build trusted and meaningful relationships,” said Dr. Mia Wise, president of Kinwell Medical Group. “We take a holistic approach that considers nutrition, fitness, and behavioral health. It ensures we deliver personalized and high-quality care.”
Kinwell clinics provide primary care and behavioral health services. During a routine primary care visit, if the patient presents signs of mental distress or expresses concerns over their mental health, the primary care physician can coordinate an initial consultation with a behavioral health specialist on that same visit. This contributes to a whole-health approach for patients and the overarching effort to serve Washington communities. The treatment suites available at the newest locations include thoughtful details for patient comfort and integrated technology. Expanded primary care services treat everyday ailments and manage chronic conditions, such as diabetes and depression. Kinwell is launching a statewide virtual care service in February to expand care beyond its clinic service areas.
